Elixir Spa & Health Club appoints manager
Alsu Abdulina has recently been appointed as Spa and Fitness manager at the Elixir Spa & Health Club, the exciting new spa concept at the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa which opens in September this year.
Alsu graduated from the International School of Beauty in Edinburgh and then spent four years with the One Spa at the Sheraton Grand Hotel Edinburgh - a spa that won several prestigious awards including Condé Nast's Traveller Award for the best Urban Day Spa. Next followed a successful period at the Ananda in the Himalayas - a famous world class Destination Spa which integrated the traditional Indian systems of Ayurveda with the more contemporary western spa approach. Whilst she was in India Alsu under went extensive training in Ayurveda and Yoga techniques.
The Elixir Spa will combine East-West holistic approach and signature Arabic Rituals. The signature treatments include Elixir's therapeutic and aromatherapy massages, Dead Sea body treatments, Dead Sea Salt Glow and a Rasul Mud chamber. All treatments use natural products specially sourced from all over the world.
The eastern influence comes from India and Thailand with Ayurvedic and Asian rituals. "Indian Touch'" will be a signature treatment that incorporates Abhyanga and Shirodhara with special oils for each individual body type Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Thai rituals will include exclusive Thai treatments using natural organic products.
A complete range of other spa and beauty treatments are available and include Su-do tropical blitz sunless tan, which enables clients to have a flawless tan in one treatment that only takes three minutes
The luxurious 5 star deluxe Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa is situated on Dubai's world-famous Jumeirah Beach and adjacent to the magnificent Dubai Marina. The resort has 442 stunning suites and rooms and the facilities include three swimming pools, 13 restaurants, lounges and bars, tennis and squash courts, Spa, Health Club, shops and meeting facilities for up to 1,000 delegates.
